Our House Clearance Bearsden office were called a buy-to-let landlord who had purchased his first two-bedroom flat for rental the previous year in the Bearsden area. Things had gone well at first but then his tenant stopped paying the rent before disappearing altogether. The situation presented something of a mystery, since the tenant had left behind a considerable amount of furniture and personal effects.
In this case, a client contacted our House Clearance Perth office from Nigeria, where he was working for a multinational oil company. Although English, he had been working in various overseas locations for the past dozen years, taking his wife and two children with him wherever he was posted. Now he was coming home to settle in England. He owned a three-bedroom detached house from the Edwardian era in the suburbs of Perth which he had been renting out while abroad.
Of course we are professionals, but sometimes it’s hard for the staff at House Clearance Greenock not to be emotionally affected by our work. One such case was when a client, an elderly lady, contacted us to do a complete house clearance of a house she’d been renting out in Greenock. She only had one rental house, a two-bedroomed flat on the ground floor of a small modern block, which she’d inherited when her sister had died a couple of years previously.
A client called our House Clearance Kilmarnock team to ask if we could clear a large house that he had just bought at auction in Kilmarnock. The house was detached and set in a large garden a couple of miles out of the city in the countryside. It had been built in the early 20th century in typical Edwardian style and had five bedrooms and two receptions.
In our line of work, House Clearance Ayr sometimes come across tragic human stories. For example, a woman called us one day in quite an emotional state, as her mother had just passed away. Obviously, her grief was one factor in her being upset, but another was that her father had rather gone off the rails after her mother had died some years earlier. He had actually broken links with his family in Ayr, while he continued to live alone in the family house, a three-bedroomed suburban semi-detached property with a garden in Ayr.
A firm of estate agents instructed House Clearance Dunfermline to clear a large town house in Dunfermline city centre. Their client was a wealthy businessman from Dubai, who wanted the house cleared and all the furniture put into storage as he had decided to sell the property. Laid out over four storeys, the house was a grand town house from the late Victorian period and retained many original features.
House Clearance Hamilton were called by a local estate agent which was acting on behalf of a man who lived overseas and had been letting out his modern three-bedroom bungalow in the Hamilton area while he was absent. The estate agent had advised him that the decor, furnishings and fittings at his property had become somewhat dilapidated due to wear and tear, and these needed upgrading if he was to achieve a good market rent. He had agreed to this, and we were now instructed to complete the house clearance service before the decorators moved in. Time was of the essence, since the owner was obviously losing money while his property was unoccupied.

A firm of solicitors, working on behalf of the property owner, asked us to clear out a large four-bedroomed flat above a shop on Bishopbriggs High Street. The owner lived in Scotland and had inherited the flat from a recently deceased family member. He had instructed the solicitors to prepare the property for sale. A full clearance was required, including removing the white goods from the kitchen. However, no deep clean was necessary because the flat was to be decorated before being sold.
Our client in this case asked us to clear a three-bedroomed flat in a rather splendid Edwardian mansion block in Darlington. He had been renting the flat out to the same tenant, an elderly lady, for nearly 20 years. Sadly, the tenant had died recently, and the client had decided to sell the property rather than rent it out again.
