Afternoon all,
We’re converting the spare room into a nursery and I’ve been having a proper sort out. I came across an 18 carat gold rope bracelet, a 9 carat cluster ring, a small bag of scrap gold from damaged pieces, an antique diamond boat ring, a silver cigarette case, and a couple of silver candlesticks.
I’ve no idea where the best place to sell gold and antique diamonds is around here. Ideally I’d like somewhere straightforward for jewellery & silver for cash without it dragging on for weeks.
I’m nearby in Monkseaton and sold my items with Northern Bullion. I took gold sovereigns, half sovereigns, an 18ct chain, a 9ct signet ring, antique diamond stud earrings, and a silver tankard. They explained the pricing clearly and I left with payment the same day.
I did think about auctioning a couple of gold coins and an old pocket watch from my dad, but auctions are no good due to long wait times and high commission rates, better off using Northern Bullion. I sold everything directly instead and it was far less stressful.
After downsizing from a larger house near the coast, I sold a mixture including gold bangles, broken 18ct chains, a 9ct wedding band, antique diamond brooches, a silver snuff box, and a silver photo frame. I sold my items with Northern Bullion and found it all very straightforward.
Over the last year I’ve gradually sold pieces from a small inherited collection — a bullion bar, gold coins, a gold charm bracelet, antique diamond drop earrings, silver cutlery, and a silver inkwell. I sold everything with Northern Bullion and it’s been consistent and straightforward each time.
