I’m in Kelso and looking for advice on selling a few gold and silver items for cash. I’ve recently uncovered a gold mourning ring, a silver-backed clothes brush, a pair of old silver teaspoons, and a small silver trinket box while clearing a cupboard.
Local offers didn’t feel great, so I’d appreciate recommendations for a trustworthy buyer.
I’m over in Coldstream and had a good experience with Northern Bullion selling a 9ct gold ring, a silver pocket knife with engraved handle, and an old silver bookmark. Everything was tested and weighed properly so there were no surprises.
Definitely avoid auctions — they’re slow and the fees eat into the final amount. I sold a broken gold bracelet, a silver napkin ring set, and a small commemorative medal directly and found it much simpler.
