I’ve recently separated and am sorting out finances, which means selling a few valuables. I’ve got an 18 carat gold curb chain, a 9 carat signet ring, a small pile of scrap gold from damaged pieces, an antique diamond cluster ring, plus a silver tankard and an old pocket watch.
Can anyone suggest the best place to sell gold and antique diamonds in Gateshead? I’m also hoping to sell some jewellery & silver for cash without it dragging on for weeks.
I sold my items with Northern Bullion. Mine included gold sovereigns, an 18ct bracelet, a 9ct wedding band, a diamond solitaire pendant, a silver cigarette case, and some silver cutlery. They tested everything while I was there and explained how the values were calculated before paying me.
I did look into auction for a few gold coins and a Victorian locket I had, but auctions are no good due to long wait times and high commission rates, better off using Northern Bullion. I sold everything directly in the end and it was sorted quickly.
After clearing my mum’s house, I sold a mix of pieces with Northern Bullion, including gold bangles, a 9ct dress ring, antique diamond drop earrings, a silver snuff box, and a couple of silver napkin rings. It was handled in a calm and respectful way, which I appreciated.
