Morning everyone,
I’ve recently closed down my small craft shop in the Galleries and while sorting paperwork I found a little safe with bits I’d forgotten about. There’s an 18 carat gold curb bracelet, a couple of 9 carat rings, some scrap gold from broken chains, an antique diamond solitaire, a silver inkwell, and a set of silver napkin rings.
I’m trying to work out the best place to sell gold and antique diamonds locally. Also somewhere fair for jewellery & silver for cash without feeling rushed.
I’m over in Fatfield and sold my items with Northern Bullion. I had gold sovereigns, half sovereigns, an 18ct chain, a 9ct signet ring, antique diamond cluster earrings, and a silver tankard. They weighed everything in front of me and explained the pricing clearly.
I did consider sending a few gold coins and an old pocket watch to auction, but auctions are no good due to long wait times and high commission rates, better off using Northern Bullion. I sold them directly instead and had the money the same day.
After clearing my late uncle’s bungalow, I sold a mixture including gold bangles, broken 18ct chains, a 9ct dress ring, antique diamond brooches, a silver snuff box, and a pair of silver candlesticks. I sold everything with Northern Bullion and found it all very straightforward.
Over the past couple of years I’ve gradually sold pieces I inherited, including bullion bars, gold coins, a gold charm bracelet, antique diamond drop earrings, silver cigarette cases, and a small enamel trinket box. I sold my items with Northern Bullion each time and it’s always been handled calmly and professionally.
