House Clearance Ponteland Recent Case Study
Our team recently carried out a house clearance of a six bedroom mansion in Ponteland, Nourthmberland on behalf of our customer. We have written a brief overview of the clearance in the case study below.
Ponteland House Clearance Customer Requirements
“Hi, I’m looking for a professional house clearance service to clear my father’s six bedroom home in Ponteland. He’s downsizing to a smaller property, so some things are to remain or be moved to his new place (is this something you could do if we pay extra?) but everything else is to be cleared, including the garage and conservatory. There are a lot of bulky items and some sentimental belongings we’d like to keep, so I’d appreciate a thorough and careful approach. Please let me know how much something like this would cost and how soon you could fit us in.
Thanks,
– Sarah.”
House Clearance Ponteland Contents Overview
The property contained a wide array of items, including:
- A large oak dining table with eight chairs.
- Two leather Chesterfield sofas in the living room.
- A victorian grandfather clock in working condition.
- Several bookcases filled with a collection of classic literature and history books.
- A vintage mid century vinyl record player and a box of records.
- Kitchen appliances, including a double door American style fridge freezer with a ice dispenser, a dishwasher, and a microwave.
- Garden furniture, including a wrought iron table and four chairs, as well as several potted plants.
- A variety of tools in the garage, including a power drill, a toolbox, and gardening equipment.
- A heavy upright piano in the conservatory.
- Four large boxes of family photographs, scrapbooks, and keepsakes (which were to be kept behind)
- Three wardrobes filled with clothing, shoes, and accessories.
House Clearance Overview
Our Ponteland House Clearance team arrived in early in the morning, ready to tackle the large property. After a detailed walkthrough with Sarah, we created a plan to ensure sentimental items, like the family photographs and scrapbooks, were separated for safekeeping.
We started in the living room and dining areas, carefully packing the large oak table and leather sofas for transportation to the new home. The grandfather clock, a delicate and valuable piece, was handled with special care and safely transported to its new home.
In the conservatory, the upright piano presented a logistical challenge due to its size and weight, but with teamwork and a can do attitude our house clearance staff got it loaded onto our van. The kitchen appliances were also removed, cleaned, and taken to our donation partners.
The garden furniture and tools from the garage were in excellent condition and ideal for reuse, so they were delivered to a local charity organization. Meanwhile, the team ensured all remaining items, such as books, clothing, and smaller household items, were either responsibly recycled or donated.
By the end of the day, the property was fully cleared, with all spaces, including the garage and conservatory, left tidy and ready to be put up for sale.
Customer Review
“I couldn’t be happier with the service from Northern House Clearance. The team was on time, professional, and so respectful of my father’s belongings. They made the process stress free and way easier, which was a huge relief during a busy and emotional time as the home had been in our family since I was a child. I really appreciated how they took the time to return sentimental items to us while making sure everything else was cleared efficiently. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a house clearance service in Ponteland!”
