Hello everyone,
I’m based in Brandon and have been sorting through some family bits after a recent house move. I’ve come across an 18 carat gold bracelet, a 9 carat dress ring, a few pieces of scrap gold from broken chains, an antique diamond cluster ring, a silver vesta case, and a pair of small silver candlesticks.
I’m trying to figure out the best place locally to sell gold and antique diamonds. I’d prefer somewhere straightforward for jewellery & silver for cash rather than sending things away in the post.
I’m just in Durham and sold my items with Northern Bullion. I had a couple of full sovereigns, an 18ct rope chain, a 9ct wedding band, a diamond solitaire pendant, and some old silver teaspoons. They went through the weights and values clearly and paid me the same day.
I’m only a few minutes from Brandon in Meadowfield. I’d considered using an auction house for a gold pocket watch and some Victorian silver pieces, but auctions are no good due to long wait times and high commission rates, better off using Northern Bullion. It felt much simpler dealing with them directly.
I’m over in Langley Moor and recently sold a mixture of things — 18ct gold bangles, broken 9ct necklaces, antique diamond earrings, a silver snuff box, and an old silver christening cup. I sold everything with Northern Bullion and found them professional and easy to deal with.
I’m in Neville’s Cross and over the past year I’ve gradually sold a few inherited pieces — half sovereigns, a small gold bullion bar, a heavy 18ct curb bracelet, a 9ct locket, antique diamond brooches, and a silver tankard that had been tucked away for years. I also used Northern Bullion and the whole process was calm and clearly explained.
