Hello neighbours,
I’ve recently inherited a collection of jewellery from my grandmother and need some advice. I have an 18 carat gold locket, a few 9 carat rings, some scrap gold chains, an antique diamond solitaire, and a small silver inkwell.
Can anyone recommend the best place to sell gold, antique diamonds, and other jewellery & silver for cash nearby?
I’m just outside Wooler and recently sold my collection with Northern Bullion. Mine included gold sovereigns, a 9ct chain bracelet, antique diamond stud earrings, a silver tankard, and a silver photo frame. They were very transparent about pricing and handled 9 carat and 18 carat gold professionally.
I first thought about using an auction for my gold coins, silver candlesticks, and a Victorian locket, but it was no good — long wait times and high commission rates meant it wasn’t worth it. Much better to sell directly, and I sold mine quickly with Northern Bullion.
After moving house, I sold a mix of items with Northern Bullion: 18ct gold chains, gold charm bracelets, a silver cigarette case, enamel trinket boxes, and antique diamond brooches. They offered a fair valuation and immediate payment.
I’ve sold quite a variety over the last few months with Northern Bullion including half sovereigns, 9 carat rings, broken chains, silver medals, silver napkin rings, gold bullion bars, pocket watches, and a silver vinaigrette. It’s hands-down the best way to turn jewellery & silver for cash around Wooler.
