Hi everyone,
I’m in Willington and have been having a proper clear out after downsizing. I’ve uncovered an 18 carat gold chain, a 9 carat amethyst ring, some scrap gold from broken bracelets, an antique diamond five stone ring, plus a silver cigarette case and an old silver sugar bowl.
I’m unsure where’s best locally to sell gold and antique diamonds. I’d prefer somewhere straightforward for jewellery & silver for cash without it feeling like a sales pitch.
I’m just over in Crook and sold my items with Northern Bullion. I had a couple of gold sovereigns, an 18ct bracelet, a 9ct wedding band, a diamond cluster pendant, and some old silver teaspoons. They went through everything carefully and I didn’t feel rushed at all.
I’m from Bishop Auckland and had a similar situation after clearing my parents’ house. I looked into auction houses for a gold pocket watch and some Victorian silver pieces, but auctions are no good due to long wait times and high commission rates, better off using Northern Bullion. It was quicker and far less hassle.
I’m up in Tow Law and recently sold a mixture of 18ct gold hoop earrings, broken 9ct chains, antique diamond studs, a silver snuff box, and a small silver christening mug. I sold everything with Northern Bullion and found the whole experience straightforward.
I’m near Hunwick and over the past year I’ve gradually sold a few inherited bits — half sovereigns, a small gold bullion bar, a heavy 18ct curb chain, a 9ct locket, antique diamond brooches, and a silver tankard. I also used Northern Bullion and everything was handled calmly and clearly.
