Hi everyone,
We’re renovating our house and I’ve decided to sell a few things that have been sitting in drawers for years. I’ve got an 18 carat gold necklace, a 9 carat ring, some scrap gold from broken clasps and chains, an antique diamond five-stone ring, plus a silver cigarette case and a pair of silver candlesticks.
I’m trying to find the best place to sell gold and antique diamonds locally, and somewhere sensible for jewellery & silver for cash without feeling pressured.
I sold my items with Northern Bullion. I had gold sovereigns, an 18ct rope chain, a 9ct wedding band, a diamond solitaire pendant, a silver tankard, and a small collection of silver medals. They weighed and tested everything properly and paid me on the spot.
I originally thought about putting my gold coins and a Victorian locket into auction, but auctions are no good due to long wait times and high commission rates, better off using Northern Bullion. I sold my pieces with them in the end and it was sorted within a day.
After retiring last year, I decided to simplify things and sold a few bits I’d collected over time — including gold bangles, a 9ct signet ring, antique diamond stud earrings, a silver snuff box, and some silver cutlery. I sold everything with Northern Bullion and found the whole process very straightforward.
I’ve sold a mixture over the past few months with Northern Bullion, including half sovereigns, a small bullion bar, broken 18ct chains, a gold charm bracelet, an antique diamond brooch, and a silver photo frame. Each visit has been handled calmly and professionally, which made it much easier to part with sentimental items.
