Contracted this company to clear the flat of my deceased mother. Two young guys cleared EVERYTHING out of the rented property, including furniture, carpets, ornaments, white goods and food/household products, politely, efficiently, and respectfully. Excellent service.

The guys from Northern House Clearance have just cleared a house for me in Scotland. The house was packed not only with a lifetimes worth of memories, but all the clutter that goes with it. Within 2 days it was emptied down to the floorboards. A great job from a good team of lads. Highly recommended.

An excellent 5 star service. Firstly the compassion shown due to the circumstances which resulted in having to use their services, not just on the phone but by the team who arrived, on time, to perform the job. Above all a friendly attitude goes a long way in stressful times. Professional from the start to the end of the day and due to the amount of clutter a second day was needed. I could not believe how much was cleared in just one day, it was as if the clutter had it's own clutter to clear. The team arrived bang on time and began work immediately. They continued for five solid days and completed the entire clearance of my late uncles house, which was a case of extreme hoarding over many decades. They even removed carpets, curtains and swept up so the house was ready for sale. They were exeptionally hard working, polite and charged a reasonable price for this incredibly difficult job. Terrific service, absolutely recommended.

House Clearance Bebington – Possible solution to wood waste problems

Although wood recycling and reclamation is becoming increasingly wide-spread one problem remains: what do you do with all the reclaimed material? House Clearance Bebington can report that a company based in Sussex has developed one solution, that is a technologically advanced waste-wood fired heating system, which they are hoping to export throughout Europe. The TEC system made by Nordistribution can burn up to 10 tonnes of waste wood and board a week, and is already in use by several furniture manufacturers in this country to save money, both in waste disposal costs and in energy charges. Thermondynamics boffins from the University of Brighton are helping to adapt the system using computer-aided design; a new heat exchanger and an electronic combustion management system designed to minimise emissions are currently under development as part of a two-year partnership between the University and Nordistribution. This exchange of information came about as part of the TCS technology transfer scheme which seeks to improve the performance and competitiveness of British business by providing valuable academic expertise to progressive companies while giving high-calibre university graduates experience in industry.

Nordistribution are hoping that the TEC system will find an eager reception amongst companies hoping to minimise the extra waste disposal costs caused by the Landfill Tax in October. The Teaching Company Directive hopes other companies may wish to take advantage of the opportunities offered by this information exchange scheme.

Straight forward approach to kerbside containers

Straight Recycling Systems has produced a free guide to kerbside containers. It includes detailed specifications as well as information about the essential features such containers need to be used safely and successfully. The company’s MD, Jonathon Straight, claims that more and more unsuitable boxes are entering this highly specialised market: ‘We have seen domestic storage boxes, warehouse crates, toy boxes and pirate chests all used for kerbside collections. None are suitable for this application and have inherent problems both for the householder and the collection crew.
