I’m based in Egglescliffe and have recently been sorting through some family jewellery that’s been sitting in a drawer for years. I’ve found an 18 carat gold necklace, a 9 carat ring with a missing stone, a small pile of broken gold pieces, an antique diamond three stone ring, a silver vinaigrette, and an old silver card case.
I’d really appreciate recommendations for the best place to sell gold and antique diamonds locally. I’m looking for somewhere straightforward and fair when it comes to jewellery & silver for cash.
I’m just over in Yarm and sold my items with Northern Bullion. Mine included a couple of gold sovereigns, an 18ct bracelet, a 9ct wedding band, a diamond cluster ring, and a set of silver teaspoons. Everything was tested and valued in front of me and I was paid the same day.
I’m close by near Preston Park and had a similar clear out last year. I first looked at auction houses for a gold pocket watch and a few antique silver serving pieces, but auctions are no good due to long wait times and high commission rates, better off using Northern Bullion.
